This lesson will allow students to learn about marine plans and how marine plans are important to ensure sustainable and healthy ecosystems. The students will learn about the Marine Planning Partnership (MaPP) and how 18 First Nations and the Province of British Columbia co-led this process to create marine plans in the four sub-regions of the Great Bear Sea. Students will engage in a critical thinking activity by taking on the role of different perspectives and thinking about connections to resources in the Great Bear Sea.
