This lesson will introduce the students to Traditional Knowledge (or Indigenous Knowledge), and how knowledge is built and continues to evolve based on relationships with and understanding of place. Students will learn how this knowledge is passed from generation to generation and continues to change as time passes and new learning occurs. Traditional Ecological Knowledge will be explored looking at a seasonal round from the Haida Nation and a seasonal use cycle from the Kwakwaka’wakw Nation.
