This lesson will introduce the students to the Great Bear Sea, including the ecological, economic, cultural and social importance of this region. Students will learn about the four sub regions of the Great Bear Sea and how the land and sea are interconnected. Key terms such as ecosystem, biotic parts, abiotic parts and biodiversity of the region will be explored. Students will begin to critically think about how the resources of the Great Bear Sea are important to future generations.
